My boss pointed out to me yesterday that because the fall time change has been pushed back to November 4, it won’t get dark on Halloween until about 7:00. Trick-or-treating in our neighborhood is from 6-7. Which means it will be light the entire time we’re out. I have mixed feelings about that. It will be nice to be able to see well (no tripping!) and
little less chance that Big Brother or Little Sister will be scared by spooky costumes, pumpkins, and decorations. On the other hand, the scary costumes, pumpkins, and decorations just won’t be the same in bright light. Plus if we were to go later instead, it would totally mess with bedtime, since LS goes to bed at 7:15 and BB goes to bed at 8.
Anybody else have to trick-or-treat in broad daylight this year? Or anybody always trick-or-treat in daylight? What are your thoughts?
