So you just might know something about the bedtime troubles (more like annoyances) that we’ve been having with Little Sister lately. She wants us to lay with her FOREVER, etc. And of course, she LOVES Book Boy’s new bed. So sometimes we let her climb in with him when she “can’t” fall asleep. Usually it doesn’t last very long before we have to separate them because they won’t settle down, but the idea always sounds nice.
That’s what happened tonight. She would NOT settle down, wanted us to lay with her (first TIm, and then me when he left, etc). Finally she asked if she could go in with Book Boy, and I said yes but they had to be quiet and good or she would go back to her own bed right away.
Surprisingly, they were quiet, and about 20 minutes later Tim said he thought they were asleep. I said no, I had just heard Book Boy turning the pages of a book (he thinks we don’t know that he “sneak reads” most nights). Tim peeked in on the kids, and then said “You’ve got to see this!” He was laughing pretty hard.
I expected to see BB reading to LS or something like that.
Nope. BB was sound asleep – and it was LS who was still reading!
We put her on the upper “bunk” (they had been on lower), and now she’s sound asleep too. It’ll be interesting to see what this night brings.
And OH how I wish we had just bought LS a bed like the one that BB has.
UPDATE: They’re sound asleep in the top “bunk” tonight. LS farted around for a while at bedtime, then we let her get in BB’s bed. She still wasn’t happy, but as soon as he climbed up there – the were both sacked out within 5 minutes.
