Please pray for my friend Linda and her family.
You may remember Linda as the friend whose three-year-old was diagnosed with cancer in June. Lisa has been undergoing chemo since then, and while it hasn’t shrunk the tumors as much as the doctors would like, she is scheduled to have surgery soon to remove the tumors. This will be followed by radiation therapy, during which she will be in total isolation. Lisa hasn’t been doing well this week, and her surgery (originally scheduled for next week) has been delayed.
As if that wasn’t enough, Linda’s oldest daughter was just diagnosed with scoliosis. It, too, will require surgery (what sounds to me like brain surgery) in the next month – in fact, her surgery will probably coincide with Lisa’s radiation treatment.
I can’t imagine how Linda and Mike are getting through this, but somehow they’re managing, and are staying strong for their kids. But they can use all the prayers and positive thoughts they can get.
Oh, and if you visit their blog, please sign the guest book. They’re trying to get prayers from all 50 states, and still need Alaska, Kansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont and Wyoming.
