I have a feeling that Book Boy and Little Sister are going to be water babies this summer.
Tim and I set up the pool last night, and we were out on the deck with the kids as the pool was filling up. True to form, the kids wanted to play in the water. I pointed out that the water would be frigid and maybe not much fun to play in, but they insisted that they wanted to dip their feet in. I said that was fine with me, so they started splashing around a bit. Of course, it wasn’t long before both were begging to put on their swim suits. They played in the water for about 30 minutes total – about 15 before dinner and 15 after dinner (which was cooked out and eaten on the deck). They seemed to be of two minds about the water temperature, though – they’d run through the pool and yell “It’s cold! I’ve got hypothermia!” then run right back in.
Here’s a not-very-good video clip of them playing in the pool. Silly kids.
