Earlier this week, I invited you to ask me questions to help jump-start my blog with some good topics. Only two of you have done so, but boy did those two ask questions! (Anyone else who has a question is welcome to ask it in the comments here or in the previous post.)
Question #4 once again comes from Jen over at The Road Less Traveled. (I’m skipping question #3 but will come back to it.)
How are LS and BB adjusting to having a baby around?
They’re doing really well!
I figured Book Boy would be just fine. He was great when Book Girl was born. He’s been enamored of the baby from day one, and gets mad at me if I let her cry. Baby’s face just lights up when she sees him. I have a feeling he’s going to be the adored older brother.
Book Girl is crazy about the baby too, and does really well with her most of the time. She’ll often just gaze at her and say “Mom, isn’t she the beautifullest baby?” which, of course, melts my heart. On the other hand, it is a little harder for BG than it is for BB. He’s older, he’s been through this before, and he’s not with baby all.the.time, like BG is. The only time BG gets a break from her is when we go grocery shopping or something like that. (Actually, now that I think about it, I need to give BG more of a break from the baby.) BG tolerates baby’s crying much more than BB can.
This pic is from Book Baby’s first day home. He held her for about an hour – would have held her longer if we’d let him!
