Happiness #1: Greenfield Village with Tim, the kids, and my dad. I haven’t been there in ages, and the kids have never been there. Book Boy loved it, especially the Thomas Edison areas.
Happiness #2: Free tickets to Greenfield Village, courtesy of the Detroit Free Press. Every couple of weeks, they send out an e-mail to subscribers, with a list of a dozen or so free items. If you’re one of the first however many people to reply, you get your choice of prizes. I’ve won a handful of things but have been trying for the Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum tickets for ages, and finally won them earlier this summer. I’ll keep trying to win them again so we can all go to the Henry Ford Museum next time!
Oh, and having those four tickets meant we all got in free – under 5 is free, so we didn’t have to pay for Book Girl or Book Baby, so the four tickets were for me, Tim, Dad, and BB. Can’t beat that!
