Book Baby is sick. Yesterday it seemed to be croup – today, her cough is less croup-y and more junky (and OH the snot – I must have wiped her nose a hundred times today – but at least it’s the good clear kind of snot). She missed two days of day care, which means that Tim and I each missed a day of work. I’m still going on the assumption that we’re just having a bad winter in terms of sickies … that has to be it, right? Right?
I am hoping that is our situation too!! My 6 month old has had bronchiolitis twice this winter and it’s 3-4 weeks of congestion each time she gets it. I am so sick of sickness. There have been a lot of bad viruses circulating this winter. I need spring so I can open my windows and let the germs out!!
Keep in mind I may not know what I’m talking about, BUT … with the very cold weather and all the doors and windows shut tight, do you think something in the air — either at home or at daycare — could just be irritating her teeny tiny respiratory system? I mean, if her snot is clear, there probably isn’t any infection. So maybe an air purifier or humidifier might help.
