August Happiness: August 27

Today’s happiness is … my birthday! Today is my mumblemumbletyfirst birthday. Birthdays really aren’t a big deal in our family, at least for the adults, but Tim did a pretty good job of letting me have a chore-free day (as much as possible with three young kids around, at least). The kids were generally nice to me all day, and Allie put on a little birthday show for me before bedtime, complete with harmonica, recorder, and singing. It was very sweet.
